There are no income restrictions to receive food from the Giving Cupboard choice food pantry. However, we also offer additional food items from The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) for those who qualify.

TEFAP helps supplement the diets of households who are low-income by providing them with emergency food assistance at no cost. A national hunger-relief program, the food is purchased by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and distributed by The Idaho Foodbank through a network of community partners, including the Giving Cupboard.

When you come to the Giving Cupboard for the first time, you fill out a TEFAP application at our registration desk. Self-declared income and Idaho residency are required to receive these benefits. If you meet the guidelines, then you will receive TEFAP foods (as available) each time you frequent our pantry.
